Neutral role, conflict checks, and scope boundary

Neutral role, conflict checks, and scope boundary

Data365 Evidence provides neutral, preservation-first evidence handling and documentation services, with forensic data acquisition where appropriate, performed only after source authority, service boundaries, and next-step handling are confirmed in writing. Preservation is kept separate from legal interpretation, investigative analysis, advocacy, and expert testimony unless separately retained in writing.

Conflict checks, authority, and scope confirmation

  • Engagement terms, scope, and matter authority are confirmed in writing before any preservation, collection, or other technical handling begins.
  • Authority to access the relevant devices, accounts, data sources, and transfer path is confirmed and recorded for the specific handling steps involved.
  • If a conflict, ownership, access-rights, or scope question arises, handling pauses until clarified in writing.

Preservation vs. analysis

Preservation captures and stabilizes relevant material with custody continuity and integrity records where appropriate. Substantive review, legal interpretation, investigative analysis, and testimony remain outside scope unless separately retained in writing.

For intake, use the Start Intake form. Authority, service boundaries, and any conflict questions are resolved in writing before handling proceeds.
